Africa Climate and Health Responder Course

We are excited to invite you to the Africa Climate and Health Responder Course, developed through a collaboration between the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE), the Association of Schools of Public Health in Africa (ASPHA), CDC-Africa, WHO AFRO, Project ECHO, and the CHANCE network. Our team would greatly appreciate it if you could help spread the word and share this opportunity with your respective networks.

Despite contributing the least to climate change, the African region suffers the most from its impacts. This course aims to equip African health professionals with essential skills to identify, communicate, respond to, and prepare for climate-related health impacts. Through expert-led lectures and case studies, participants will gain comprehensive knowledge on climate science, health impacts, adaptation strategies, and health system resilience. Registration is free of charge and video recordings of each session will be available for asynchronous viewing.

The course will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 17 to October 22, 2024, from 4:00 – 5:30 PM South African Standard Time.
